
CORE RX & winlevi
Core rx is a healthcare advertising agency that reached out to us on behalf of their client, winlevi. They were looking for a variety of creative shots for the social media launch of a new acne cream product, and wanted to find a studio that would handle the full production.
The goal: variety & consistency
The CoreRX + Winlevi team came to us with a clear vision for a large set of images they wanted for their social media assets. Together, we put together a shotlist with a variety of setups:
hand modeling
lifestyle images using a bathroom vanity scene
swatches
motion gifs
By hiring our team for all of these assets, they were able to increase the consistency between their shots. As a result, they have a more cohesive look over the set of images, which is especially beneficial when the images appear next to each other online.
HAND MODELING
We sourced talent from local Chicago modeling agencies according to Winlevi’s model preferences. For this project we hired and worked with 2 professional hand models, who received manicures prior to the shoot. On set, we had a great time collaborating with the Winlevi team, CoreRx, the models, and the photography team to capture images that highlighted the product. The whole team had a great time!
lifestyle images
For this project, Winlevi was looking for lifestyle scenes inside a bathroom. So, we built out a small bathroom scene. They wanted a variety of angles, but didn’t want just 1 scene used over the course of the set of images. With that in mind, we built 2 bathroom sink sets — one masculine and one feminine. We curated 2 vanities, and constructed a partial wall to hang a vanity mirror for each set. In order to create multiple scenes with a limited number of bathroom sets, we curated a variety of masculine and feminine bathroom accessories to create slightly different variations for each shot. This way, Winlevi could get the most out of only 2 sets.

The team also wanted beauty swatch photos to showcase the cream and how much of it is used per dose. Our team complied with these requirements and only swatched using the exact amount prescribed per use. It was a unique requirement that pushed us to get creative with different types of swatch styling when limited to a finite amount of product. We ended up doing a set of images where we were slowly emptying the tube with each new swatch application, and stitched them together into their own gif. So on top of 5 varieties of swatch images, the team also received an additional stop motion gif.

Lastly, Winlevi was looking for a few gifs to include in their set of social media assets. We planned and photographed each movement carefully to create a smooth transition between each frame, while keeping with the simplistic spirit of a short gif for social media. No frills or magic — just intentional lighting, positioning, and storyboarding.
